I've been meaning to update the articles on the website for some time or even add some more updated ones (read those here by the way) but a conversation with a member this week prompted me into at least putting something in the supplement.
Skating on thin ice. What do I mean by that exactly?
Richard messaged me earlier in the week and the conversation went something like 'I'm thinking of joining bet professor & the traders notes'
Don't get me wrong here that's a very positive comment and I'm glad we are able to provide a bunch of services that people want to follow. So where's my issue with that?
I know from seeing bet slips he is following to around £3 a bet on Wedge Winners & HRN, who on a busy Saturday can put out 20-25 selections each.
Not that you want the worst to happen but should both have an off day that could be £150 of your bank gone between those two. Starting adding on the professor with 5 or 6 bets, the trader with 4 bets, and if all fire a blank you're well down for the day and the banks took a good hit. That's excluding any other tipsters he's following and fun bets he's put on.
You'd like to think he has a bank according to each service, but believe me when I say time and time again this is where people fail. They've got £300 in bet365 and think they can safely follow 3 tipsters requiring upwards of 100 point bank each, and bet at £3, even £10. A bad week on 3-4 services kills the bank and before you know it Richard has cancelled and moved on, not something we want.
I would much rather he concentrate on 2 services with proper banks, correct staking, and still be here in a years time following our successful services, rather than put himself on thin ice and end up tripping up because he's following too many tipsters at once. I'm not joking when I say it's been done before and will probably be done again.
