The Supplement offers a 'no filter' weekly
roundup of all Punthub tipsters and runs Saturday To Friday, meaning Yesterday is the start of next week's roundup.
FREE TRIALS
I hope everyone found my Cheltenham content useful, I saw plenty of winners from the previews! I will be dissecting the previews good bad and ugly this coming week, probably Monday when I have more time.
Thankyou to those
that read, especially thanks to the few who replied (engagement drives me, without it I have no idea if you like my stuff or not), a bigger thankyou to anyone who donated through Brians link.
Right, on with this weeks roundup.
Across The Flat
Twelve all-weather selections this week but only a couple of winners:
Time Tested 2pts win 13/8 Bet365 Hills
Our Havana 1pt win 7/4 Bet365 Hills
Just
the one on-course selection this week with an each way bet failing to land a place on Friday night.
I'm sure as the flat begins to pick up from the end of March we will see more action / winners so a bit of patience required in these early stages of the trial.
Petes Paddock Picks
Just to quickly point out that these are recorded at betfair sp, which isn't how they are designed to be, he sends odds with his selections but for ease I stick them in xCloudBot and keep records at bsp, so a losing day or losing month to my results may NOT be at advised odds - I don't know.
A whopping 48 selections this week (each way bets counting as 2 selections there) as Cheltenham was in full force. He comes out of the week with a loss of 5 points, a lot of work for no profit is always disappointing.
March only 1 point in the red and hopefully the return of 'normal' racing can see him gain some consistency again. Can't say im a fan of all these tipsters
feeling the need to tip every race at the Cheltenham festival - it just never really seems to work.
JV Private Service
A more reserved approach to Cheltenham from JV with a couple of winners to note:
3:20pm Cheltenham - Take No Chances
(E/W 3p) 0.5 pts e/w @ 33/1 - PLACED
Still no profit for the week to be seen with a loss of 3 points to his stakes, and just about 0 with level stakes win only (so the big place discounted).
NEW CONTENT COMING IN APRIL:
The aim with Horseplays is to not only give selections, but to give the reasons why - so, on there I try to explain my decisions, win, lose or draw - so that I can assist people with their future selection process.
I have bad runs of form / luck - anyone who says they don't, I just don't believe.
However, I'm confident that over the long term I can win more than I lose -
as I have skill, knowledge and discipline.
I generally go for each-way value options at double digit prices - but if I see something at 5/2 that I think has a great chance, I won't hesitate to put it up. I cover both national hunt and flat - my passion , however, is jumps racing.
I'm more about studying the statistical side - such as speed ratings and I analyse things such as draw and pace bias. I watch a lot
of races.
I'll be honest with you in that I think when it comes to horse racing, most people talk utter s*it and don't have a clue what they are talking about. It's the wild west out there, filled to the brim with cowboys and card sharks. I don't think I would trust anyone else to give you Horseplays tips other than myself.
Anyway, I would like to start from April 1st
if this can be sorted, as I can build up to the National.
Plenty of shorter priced winners in there too keeping it ticking along:
Barton Snow 3.93
Westmorian 3.48
Summerleaze 3.1
Smart Decision 3.13
Rock On Rita 2.61
Whilst not being an 'outstanding' week he did turn a profit of +6.84 at betfair sp, profit not to be sniffed at by most!
March stands +21.68 and 19% ROI at betfair sp - DECENT IF YOU ASK ME
IE is another fully automated betfair service via xCloudBot, if you're
interested drop me a reply and i'll get you rolling.
The Handicapper
A couple of half decent winners early in the week as Lady Babs 8.87 bsp and Northern Poet 6.6 bsp both won, the
only other winner of note was Too Much at 5.6 bsp.
Overall not an awful week at -2.5 but the drawdown is now -40
Betty Lay
End of play Thursday the Ai
Lay model was +16. Absolutely fantastic very pleased with the progress and how the month is going.
Friday, Dundalk, two chunky winners wiped off 10 points - ah yes, laying, fun when that happens.
Anyway - we finish the week with a profit of 6 points, which in my mind is fantastic. March is up to +24 at the half way stage and my target of 10 points a
month well beaten to date. Lets hope for a good 2nd half of the month!
ok so, as WW does with festivals, he tips 4 in a race, every race.
I made a comment above about how this doesn't tend to work, and, it didn't.
Day 1 made a profit but I literally looked at the amount of bets and thought yeah that's suicide betting, I'm not adding those to the bot.
After profit on Day 1 people wanted them adding so I did, and it was pretty shit.
Actually, Thursday was good, but Friday he reverted to win only for some reason and tipping 4 win only per race requires big
winners which just didnt happen.
2 winners all day Friday after a huge Thurasday landing Doddiethegreat 32.86 bsp.
20 points lost this week and that really hurts after an underwhelming January and losing February. Lessons to be learnt here.
The Morning Line
At the start of February, we made a big move – adding 6 new systems to the Morning Line to take the brakes off and give you more selections. The original 3 systems were mostly flat-focused, which meant they were naturally quiet during the jumps season.
But I won’t sugarcoat it – it
was a rough start.
The new systems struggled to get going, and the old systems were out of form too. We did however notice a trend: other tipsters using the same power rankings were also feeling the heat in February – the rankings themselves were out of form.
+£762 this week *staking to return
£100 per winner (ie, stake + profit = £100).
It would appear the new systems have indeed found their feet after a rough January, who would have thought eh?
March staked: 2423.04
March Profit: +977.17
The Morning Line is back baby, and you'd better believe it.
The lord giveth, and the lord CONTINUEH to taketh away.
I made a big
deal out of how consistent LOTD is, he does a great job of finding one solid loser per day.
Well this week he found 4 STRAIGHT winners unfortunately wiping out the best part of 4 months profit.
Lady Babs
Lay
7.8
Won
-6.8
Chicago Storm
Lay
6.8
Won
-5.8
Fearless Action
Lay
4.1
Won
-3.1
Rubellite
Lay
6.4
Won
-5.4
March sits -17 and the two race losers since didn't count due to being below 4.0, its a huge huge shame, but I'd back him to claw back some of the deficit before the month is out.
Another streak of 12 would be bloody lovely!
The Bet Professor
2024 was a very tough year for the service, and 2025 wasn't exactly love at first sight either, but Spring is in the air and The Bet Prof has raced into a whopping 40 points profit, from only 37 bets (yes, more profit than bets!!) this
month.
A couple of real tasty winners:
Gaucher 20/1
Fistral Beach 11/2
Flash De Touzaine 12/1
A pair of 9/2 winners and a 4/1 winner
HAVE SOME OF THAT
+42.5 this week, please can we have more of the same and a more importantly good year?
Wedge Winners
You can tell when the rankings behind the scenes are in form as the system guys start to knock in some tidy profits.
That being said this week is a flat one, noting gained or lost.
+16 for March from 44 selections
HRN
A tidy profit from HRN this week with 3 winners:
Destination Dubai 10/1 (went off 20/1 for anyone waiting for BOG)
Maximum Offers 7/1
and Busy Being Busy 13/2
Total profit this week +9.5 from 17 selections
That's a quiet week for HRN but it does nudge March into a profit of +4
It doesn't scream amazing, but it does
tell me it's probably coming into form.
What to watch this week
The Morning Line
Was a tentative pick for what to watch last week and absolutely delivered, buzzing for the few that joined, and even more delighted for those that stuck out a slow winter with few selections and a torrid February (which i've made no secret of).
TML is back and better than ever with the new systems smashing in profit and the old systems due to warm up very soon, you don't want to miss this flat season!
1,100 lays placed and +97 overall with no losing months, Ai is here, it's making
money, and it's here to stay.
Again I put a stupid offer together: Automate the Morning Line and Ai Lays for £50 for hands free profit. This deal normally would cost £75 so I must have been hit over the head this week or something, I dunno.
It's reliable and consistent, that's all anyone ever
really wants out of a betting service.
