The idea is to unearth good services, some of this will happen in the background, some of it in the public. Where possible I will avoiding sending out poor trials and try to focus on the ones I think are most promising.
Daily Double
A poor week means the trial slips to -4 overall since the 4th May, hopefully June will see an improvement.
HORSEPLAYS
Wihtout updating the remainder of May it looked
like a strong month and more the service I was hoping to get, obviously tipping longer odds is tough so losing runs are to be expected.
Public trial will commence from today:
Nottingham 4:00 - Smooth Silesie - 1pt E/W - generally priced at 18/1
Chelmsford - 5:45 - Hedge Fund 1pt E/W - best priced 10/1
Chelmsford - 6:45 - Jimmy Speaking - 1pt Win - generally priced 15/2
SMOOTH SILSIE in the 4:00 at Nottingham, generally priced at 18/1 as I write this, steps up to Class 4 company for the very first time after a seasonal cobweb blower at Chelmsford (5th of 7) a few short days ago.
Prior to that, she ended her season finishing a neck behind subsequent
winner Secret Mistral.
I know I say this quite often, so apologies for those who are sick of hearing me constantly blabbering on about the same thing all of the time - but I look for horses that fail at a lower class and then are immediately upped in class the next time out.
It's a particular eye opener in that she has run so many Class 5 and 6 handicaps in her career.
This tells me that connections may feel that
she is capable of more than she has achieved so far and that they've spotted some improvement during the long winter break.
She is a course and distance winner, in her element on a left handed galloping track, is versatile ground wise and has slipped to a workable mark of 67 (she's finished second 4 times already off this mark and higher.)
At the price she is, I think she could be worth an each-way dabble.
Scores on the Doors
Crap again this week.
Slips to -13 overall
