Coko Beach was prominent for most of the race yesterday and I thought he was going really well but he faded badly between the last two fences. It was typical, of course, that the winner came from the same Gordon Elliot yard. Our selection will be winning in due course.

Analysis

1.40 Ayr

He has only had two races but Monte Igueldo has been placed once. He finished 17l behind Harbour Lake when fifth of 13 at 11-1 on his latest outing in a hurdle race at Wetherby over 2m (good to soft) last month. He should have come on for that and I’m expecting him to get more competitive here.

2.25 Kempton

Back down in trip and class, United Front can take this today. He has won three times over varying distances but this really is easier than anything he has been in recently. I’m not going to let Indeed go unbacked though. One day this horse will come in at a decent price. Like United Front he is a distance winner and has previous wins to his name.
