Top Breeze led for most of the race yesterday but capitulated inside the final furlong. King Arise Placed for us so the day wasn’t a total disaster. Even so, I have to say it has been a disappointing month. This happens on occasions which is why I always remind everybody that it is imperative we take a long-term view.

My list of horses contains some very well handicapped horses and in due course they will be winning and I am very confident moving forward.

Analysis

2.00 Lingfield

Two days ago United Front finished 2^nd for us getting caught late on after leading for most of the race. He’s stepped p considerably in distance here but he has won over this far before. Connections have put the hood back on and there is a red hot favourite to beat. We’ll just go one point and keep our fingers crossed.

2.20 Haydock

I suspect that Donald McCain has a very serious horse with A Different Kind. He has won a hurdle race and two NH flat races at 2m 1f on good and good to soft ground. He won on his latest outing in a hurdle race when 1-4fav at Sedgefield over 2m 1f (good) last month, beating Baltic Baron by 15l. Has won 3 times at Sedgefield this season. The Venetia Williams trained Green Book should help make a decent market for us.

3.20 Haydock

Goobinator fell two out when a selection for us at Bangor recently when he appeared to be cruising. Hopefully, he can safely round today and prove that he is as good as I think and make it a double for Brian Hughes and Donald McCain.
