Dutch and Qatar games let us down yesterday
I've been back through the list and removed some of the games and added one.
Some notes:
Burnley
Milwall are bang out of form, back to back losses and no goals scored. In contrast things finally looked to click for Kompany's Burnley winning 5-1 away at Wigan. I don't see a high scoring game, but I don't see a Milwall win and think Burnley should prevail at home.
Roma
At home to newly promoted and
struggling Monza, it's a no brainer.
Wrexham
I was a bit miffed when I found out Wrexham have a documentary series and are owned by Ryan Reynolds (I had to google him, but you'll know when you see him). They have the strongest side in the conference league with several players from higher up the English football tier. At home to a side that's
0-3-2 in their opening 5 games.
Benfica
Benfica sit 2nd in the league and finished 3rd in the league last season, similar comments applied to Sporting the other day but ah well. Opponents Pacos finished 11/18 with only 9 wins, -15 goals. In the last 6 meetings Benfica have won all 6 - all but 1 by 2+ goals. So if you're looking to ramp up the
odds, go -1 goal.
Helsingør
Currently sitting 5th after 7 games, and have won 4 of the last 5. Nykobing have 2 draws and 5 losses from their 7 games. Easy to see why they're struggling, theyve scored 4 goals and shipped 17 in reply. Helsingor have scored 15 in 7 games, so it should be easy pickings at home to a struggling team.
Cobreloa v Deportes - (Under 2.5 goals)
Cobreloa last 5 home games have all been 1-0 wins, and they've conceded the least goals in the league. Away team are struggling for goals - they've managed 4 goals in 5 games but 3 of those came in a 3-1 win at home. They've lost
the last 5 away games 1-0, 2-0 and 3-2. I've had a speculative fiver on a 1-0 win, but as long as it stays a low scoring affair (which everything points to), I'll be happy.
PSV Eindhoven
I'm not at all a fan of Dutch footy, but PSV and Ajax clearly dominate the league. Their last league match saw them run out 6-1 winners away to Excelsior -
who gained promotion last season. The same can be said of Volendam, who have managed 1 win from 3. PSV at home should be thumping small sides like these. They could well be looking for a reaction after being dumped out of the Champions League by Rangers, so -1 goal is a potential option though I wouldn't put my house on it!
Arsenal
Very much
the form side of the Premier League and at home to a struggling Villa, they should have too much firepower. I'd expect Jesus to get on the scoresheet and I think 1.45 is a very good price for the win. Balls deep on the single, strong selection in the acca.
PSG -1 handicap
Prior to a 1-1 draw with old title rivals Monaco, PSG were out to thump
everyone. 4-0, 5-0, 5-2 and 7-1. You have to feel sorry for what Toulouse are about to endure here. Newly promoted form Ligue 2 they're target for the season will be to stay up, playing PSG is a game you expect to lose. Probably be a 6 or 7 nil.
Man City -1 handicap
Palace probably thought they'd done enough to earn at least a draw but
Haaland had other ideas and banged in a hat-trick, sealing a 4-2 comeback. Every team in the league should now be afraid. At home to newly promoted Forest should just be attack v defence, pick the lock if you can, and I think they will - a few times.
£10 acca pays £211
Not my biggest acca but after a close one at the weekend I'm keen to just get the
acca's into a profit before moving onto the weekend. The banana skin is the under 2.5 and if you wanted to play really safe just take PSG & City to win. That takes it down to 8/1.
