BONNE VITESSE 10/1 0.5pt E/W (1pt)
(bet365)
Bonne Vitesse won a juvenile hurdle upon very heavy going by 17 lengths first time up over jumps, so should have no problems with today's ground. She's scored again since in Novice company, however is yet to win in handicaps, although was beaten just 2L in a 0-120 off 112 6 starts back, and she often mixes flat with jumps, scoring at Ripon in May, and placing 2nd at Pontefract in
October. She returned from a short layoff for a first try at 3m last time out, going well for a long way before petering out late, not given a hard time once her chance had passed. She's entitled to come on for the returning run, she takes a step back in trip to 2m4f, and drops into her lowest grade jumps handicap to date, a 0-110, running off a revised rating of 98.

BROKEN HALO 5/2 1pt WIN
(bet365)
Broken Halo went 2-2 in this Military race sphere last year, including when winning this same race under today's jockey. Numbers have turned to letters in his last 3 outings, with a fall, a pull up, and an unseat, however given before those outings he was 5 wins from 14 starts, without a single fall or unseat, I'm happy to trust his jumping can uphold today. He was still very much in contention on his latest unseat in the Military Gold Cup last time out, and he re-opposes
the winner, and today's short priced fav, Farceur Du Large, on 2lbs better terms. Broken Halo went off more than half the price (5/1 vs 11/1) to beat Farceur Du Large that day, so we're definitely getting value in the market, and on last seasons form, Broken Halo has the bigger shout.
