3:45pm Plumpton - Unanswered Prayers (Each-Way) @ 6/1
Unanswered Prayers has been running consistently well this season, with a solid third-place finish at Ascot
last time out in a race that has worked out well. He previously won the Southern National at Fontwell and put in a respectable effort in the London National at Sandown. With the Chris Gordon stable in good form and this race sponsored by their yard’s backers, he looks well placed to go close in this stamina test.
4:00pm Catterick - Not A Light (Win NAP) @ 11/4
After a long
absence, Not A Light made a successful return at Hexham in December, defying a two-year layoff to land a gamble. That form suggests he remains well-handicapped, especially as he finished just a short head behind the 129-rated Grozni before his time off. With Callum Pritchard taking off a valuable 5lbs again, he has a great chance of following up in his handicap debut.
4:15pm Plumpton - Non Stop (Win) @ 2/1
Returning to fences for the first time in over a year, Non Stop showed promise over hurdles earlier in the season, including a victory at this track. He previously finished second over fences at Taunton off this mark, and although not obviously bred for chasing, that run suggests he has the ability to win in this sphere. With Brendan Powell in the saddle, he looks a strong contender in a race where he should be competitive.
Best Bet (NAP): Not A Light (11/4) - Catterick 4:00pm
Following a successful comeback, he appears well-treated in this handicap debut and should go well again.
