Snowy Clouds (9/2) returns after a 600-day break and showed promise in his December comeback before fading. Now 4lb
lower, he’s well-treated if repeating his Ayr form (fell when clear). Nicky Richards’ yard is in form, and drier ground will suit. If he gets an uncontested lead, he’ll be hard to catch. Tommy Cullen (course winner) is the main danger but needs to bounce back.

Touchwoodexpress (4/1) looks ready to shine over this longer trip. He was gaining when falling at Taunton last time, and a return to a left-handed, galloping track should suit. Jamie Brace (5-1-1-2-3 in last 5 rides) takes the reins, adding confidence. Super Citizen (well-handicapped veteran) is one to watch if prices allow, but the selection’s progressive profile makes him the pick.

The Lash (Cross-Country specialist) is a threat but needs to rediscover his best form.
