4:30 pm Ludlow – Kado De Joie
Kado De Joie looks well-positioned to bounce back after a brief break following a below-par effort at Wincanton.
He had
previously won two of his last three starts, including an impressive performance at Lingfield on soft ground, and showed versatility by winning on good ground at Fontwell before that. His jumping has been solid, and he remains well-treated despite a 1 lb higher mark.
Mostly Sunny for Dan Skelton is well-handicapped based on his earlier form, but he’s been hard to win with, so Kado De Joie looks the safer option.
The fact that James Bowen keeps the ride is a positive sign, and Nicky Henderson’s record at Ludlow is strong.
Selection:
Kado De Joie – 7/4 with Bet365
5:05 pm Ludlow – Homme D’un Soir (Nap)
Homme D’un Soir impressed last time at Market Rasen, and a 2 lb rise looks lenient considering the strength of the form.
He had previously been consistent over fences, and despite not being the biggest horse, he jumps well and travels strongly. Trainer Billy Aprahamian seems to have found the key to him, and the good ground should suit him better than the testing conditions he encountered earlier this season.
Demoiselle Kap is progressive but has risen 21 lbs in just six weeks and is now racing on
quicker ground, which may expose her limitations. Homme D’un Soir looks better positioned to handle today’s conditions and continue improving.
Selection:
Homme D’un Soir – 3/1 with Bet365
4:05 pm Chepstow – Gats And Co & Stellar Stream
Splitting stakes between Gats And Co and Stellar Stream looks like the right approach in this marathon trip.
Gats And Co has an excellent record at Chepstow and on good ground, but the concern is whether his stamina will hold over this extended trip. However, he's down to a mark 9 lbs lower than his last winning figure and showed enough promise at Hereford to suggest he could stay the trip.
Stellar Stream looks well-handicapped after his strong Exeter run behind subsequent winner Katate Dori. His Bangor
win over 3m 5f+ on heavy ground proves he stays well, and first-time blinkers could bring further improvement. He’s versatile regarding ground and has the class to go close.
Both horses offer strong claims under ideal conditions.

Gats And Co – 10/3 with Bet365
Stellar Stream – 3/1 with
