Second in the French Guineas and a fine sixth in the Derby, Dancing Gemini returns at what looks his ideal trip. He wasn’t at his best after Epsom, but his form in top-level company stands out. A strong pace should play to his strengths, and he
looks ready to go fresh.

Midnight Gun, now gelded, looks ready to progress this season and was just behind Lincoln favourite Harper’s Ferry over C&D last time. James Doyle rides, and the form has substance. Thunder Run was
a powerful winner at York and is drawn to attack. Both look solid each-way plays in an open renewal, though high draws are a small concern.
