I’ve long believed High Moon is best suited to two-and-a-half miles on good ground, and today’s conditions finally align. He traded odds-on in
running at Carlisle last time before fading late, but he had a tough trip racing wide throughout and covering far more ground than ideal.
He can race from the same mark again and the switch to Kelso should play to his strengths. Flash Du Pistolet is flying and rightly heads the market, but he's up 15lbs and no longer under the radar. High Moon looks the one to be on each-way.

3:27pm Redcar – Classic Encounter (Each-Way)
Classic Encounter showed promise in strong races last year and returns off an attractive mark. He’s run well fresh before and the switch to a straight mile could really suit this lightly raced type from the George Boughey yard, who are in cracking form.
He finished behind Barefoot Warrior at Newcastle in the autumn but has every chance of reversing that on revised terms and conditions. There’s plenty of improvement still to come, and with a good draw and a strong jockey booking, he should be right there at the finish.

4:35pm Wolverhampton – Liberated Lad (Win)
Liberated Lad ran far better than the result suggested at Doncaster last weekend, staying on strongly over a mile after meeting traffic problems. He’s much better suited to this longer trip and returns to a track where he’s won before.
Now reunited with Daniel Muscutt and still on a winning mark, he can take full advantage. Forest Spirit is progressive, but there's a stamina question
mark at this extended trip, and Liberated Lad looks ready to strike again.
