Mutasarref returns to his favourite hunting ground and looks the one to beat in Leopardstown’s Listed Heritage Stakes. A four-time course
winner and twice successful in Group 3 company here last season, he’s proven fresh and is ideally drawn in stall one to sit just off the pace.
He does carry a 5lb penalty, but this isn’t the strongest listed contest, and he has fitness on his side in a field lacking confirmed frontrunners. Joseph O’Brien’s Uluru has promise but may find this trip on the sharp side, and if this turns tactical, Mutasarref can dominate.

Connections have long thought Align The Stars a stayer to follow, and he begins his four-year-old campaign in the Further Flight Stakes under perfect conditions – 1m6f on good ground.
A dual handicap winner at this trip last summer, including
at Glorious Goodwood, he’s back as a gelding and was touted as a potential Gold Cup horse after his three-year-old campaign. This is a classy renewal, but he’s race-fit and the trip will bring out the best in him.

Unspeakable returns to
the scene of both his career-best runs – a hurdle win and a chase second, both here at Taunton. He was outpaced and ultimately outclassed last time out, but the drop in grade and step back to a track he handles well can help him bounce back.
Jack Tudor is back in the plate, and the favourite Bumpy Evans had a hard race just two days ago and now shoulders a penalty. Unspeakable can take full advantage.
