3:40pm Huntingdon – Kosasiempre (Nap)
KOSASIEMPRE (3/1) ran into trouble at Fakenham last time but was unlucky not to win. Back on a right-handed track and stepping up in distance, she has a strong chance to return to winning ways. A 3lb rise in the weights shouldn’t stop her from delivering another big run.
Recommendation: 1 pt win @ 3/1

An impressive set of results over the previous 9 months tipping, JV runs a small private group and is looking to open his doors to a few new clients. Fingers crossed for a profitable trial.

2:13pm Gowran Park – Thedevilscoachman
In today’s feature race, one contender stands out as a potential surprise. While the focus may be on others, I’m taking a chance on Thedevilscoachman at 16/1, despite a disappointing run in this event last year when heavily favored.

This nine-year-old, trained by Noel Meade, has shown flashes of brilliance in the past, including a career-high RPR of 160 when winning the Boyne Hurdle in 2022. Although last year’s performance was underwhelming, his ability on soft ground and solid record when fresh make him an intriguing each-way option at this price.

2:30pm Huntingdon – Zain Nights
Following a successful weekend for Lucy Wadham, I’m inclined to back Zain Nights at 9/1 in this competitive qualifier. Despite two recent below-par efforts, including a pulled-up finish at Haydock, this six-year-old has shown promise over longer trips, winning three consecutive races last season.

With a preference for right-handed tracks and good ground, Zain Nights could bounce back to form here. At this price, he’s worth considering for an each-way play.

2:40pm Wetherby – Heva Rose
Venetia Williams’ string has been in good form recently, and Heva Rose looks an interesting contender on her seasonal return. This mare made a strong impression last season, winning twice and demonstrating stamina with a victory over 25 furlongs at Hereford.

After an injury setback, she returns off a modest three-pound higher mark. If she can recapture last season’s form, she has a solid chance in this contest.

2:48pm Gowran Park – Nick Rockett
Willie Mullins has a strong record in this race, and Nick Rockett is a leading contender despite carrying top weight. Although he has only one win to his name, he’s been consistent in competitive company, including a fourth-place finish at Leopardstown over Christmas.

With conditions likely to suit and Paul Townend in the saddle, this eight-year-old could go close. The current price of 5/1 seems fair given his credentials.
