The Listed 2m3f+ Sidney Banks – Huntingdon Feature Race Preview
The Sidney Banks Memorial Novices' Hurdle is the highlight of the
Huntingdon card, with Jax Junior expected to be a clear market leader following his impressive Ascot win. However, this is a shorter trip, and he was beaten twice in bumpers at this track, raising some concerns.
Califet En Vol has run closest to The New Lion so far this season, finishing just three lengths behind that Grade 1 performer, but has been off the track for nearly ten weeks and looks a stayer in the making.
Junker d’Allier, highly regarded by connections, returns from a wind operation after a disappointing run in the Grade 1 Formby Hurdle at Aintree. The step up in trip could help, but this is a fascinating race best watched for betting purposes.
2:55pm Huntingdon – Dancing In Brazil & What’s One More (Each-Way)
DANCING IN BRAZIL ran a strong race when fourth at Newbury on his
stable debut for Nigel Twiston-Davies. That was his first run in 265 days, and now returning to the track where he won a bumper, he looks primed for a big performance.
WHAT’S ONE MORE has only raced twice over hurdles, shaping with promise on ground that may not have suited. She returns to the scene of her bumper win, makes her handicap debut from a fair mark, and should be better suited to today’s conditions.
Recommendation: 0.5
pts each way on both
3:05pm Ffos Las – Bobmahley (Each-Way NAP)
BOBMAHLEY is a previous course-and-distance winner and ran a fine race over further here in December. That effort should have him spot on for today’s race, and this slight drop in trip is considered a positive. The concern is the recent form of Tim Vaughan’s stable, but he remains well-handicapped and capable in these conditions.
Recommendation: 0.5 pts each

3:20pm Doncaster – House Of Stories (Win)
HOUSE OF STORIES makes his chase debut after nearly a year off but has always shaped like a horse who would thrive over fences. He has winning form on good ground, and his point-to-point win suggests he has the stamina and ability for this sort of test. With Brian Hughes booked and Rebecca Curtis’ stable going well, he could go close on his return.
