After an underwhelming performance in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle, Regent’s Stroll finds himself in a more suitable contest, stepping back to two miles
in Listed company. He showed plenty of promise in his earlier outings, particularly his maiden victory at Newbury, and if he can learn to settle better, he should have no trouble bouncing back here. With Harry Cobden likely to ride him more prominently, this looks like an excellent opportunity for him to regain the winning thread.
4:08pm Exeter - Sherborne (Win) @ 13/2
Sherborne wasn’t able to see out the three-mile trip at Wincanton last time,
but this drop back in distance could make all the difference. He’s put in some solid efforts at Exeter in the past and remains on a competitive mark. With Freddie Gingell taking off a valuable three pounds, he has every chance of being involved in the finish. The opposition is strong, but this looks like a race where he could make his presence felt.

Pipers Cross ran an eye-catching race at Exeter
on her latest start and now returns to the course and distance where she previously won off a lower mark. A strong stayer who is well suited to the longer trip, she will relish the additional ground created by the rail movement. Her tendency to jump left suggests this switch to a left-handed track should be beneficial. With conditions in her favoUr, she looks to have an excellent chance of returning to the winner’s enclosure.
