By Study Of Man out of Alumna, her pedigree points strongly towards middle distance stamina, and she confirmed that profile when winning over 1m last time out, the only runner in here proven at the trip. Sir Mark Prescott rarely wastes runs with his juveniles, and this filly fits the stable’s campaign rhythm perfectly, stepping into handicaps off a workable mark. She is only up 4lb for that success, which leaves her well in against rivals yet to prove they stay. In a modest contest, Aleen’s proven stamina and progressive profile make her the standout.  

 

Lingfield 14.30 - Shuwari 5/2

Shuwari looks ready to bounce back in the 14.30 at Lingfield after finishing well down the field in the Group 3 at Doncaster last time when nothing went right. That run can be put aside because her earlier form shows real class, including a second in a Group 2 and a runner up effort in a Group 1 behind Ylang Ylang who has since added another Group 1. In that same race she finished ahead of See The Fire and Brilliant who both went on to win at Group level, so the form stacks up strongly. The mile trip is ideal and her breeding by New Bay out of a Sir Percy mare suggests she will handle the polytrack perfectly. Rossa Ryan takes the ride and his strike rate of over twenty one percent at Lingfield is a big plus. If stall one does not cause too many problems she should prove very hard to beat.
