Majority of Bookies are paying 3 places at 1/5.
Reasoning:
Alnayef is a lightly-raced type from a yard that excels with staying handicappers at this level, and he’s one who could still have a bit more to offer once conditions fall right. His latest effort at Ayr can be excused, the soft ground clearly blunted his stride when he weakened out of contention over 1m5f. He’s a far better performer on good or good-to-soft surfaces, and previous placed runs suggest he’s effective
between 11f and 13f, where his stamina is properly balanced with a turn of foot.
By Sea The Stars, he has the pedigree of a middle-distance winner, and the switch back to a sounder surface should be much more in his favour. The partnership with Paul Mulrennan, who’s one of the top course riders is another positive, as he tends to time these staying rides perfectly when they’re able to settle early. The key for Alnayef will be rhythm,
when allowed to travel smoothly into his races, he’s shown a solid level of ability and consistency, particularly at Class 5 level where he’s hit the frame on several occasions.
If he finds an even pace to track and the ground stays on the quicker side, he looks a great price and a worthy daily NAP. He’s capable of outrunning his current mark and breaking that maiden tag.
