Thoughts On Yesterday 💭
Wow. Just about everything that could go wrong, went wrong yesterday.
Our 6/5 mainstream tip went into 4/6 and was beaten in a photo. He lost several lengths on the turn when cornering poorly, and Joe Fanning rode a shocker. Uproar on twitter about it, and he just looked like he thought he had won for the whole straight. Poor ride.
Our 14/1 shot came 6th, but the two dangers I mentioned and at the time they were both 9/2 and 15/2 came 1st and 2nd. I think write ups are very important so that as I can cover those areas, showing I wasn’t exactly wrong, and we are doing the right things.
Same story with the other race as the 2 horses mentioned and my selection came 1st 2nd and 3rd at 15/2, 5/2 and 5/1. This is a harsher story however as ours was “very slowly away” and gave away many lengths at the start. He made up all bar half a length in 3rd. A real tough one to take.
Yesterday just shows the importance of write ups. Clearly had the races scoped out correctly, just not the end results needed due to some in running difficulties that are just unpredictable.
