LADY RAEBURN
Where Do I Expect This Horse To Run?
I don’t want him to far near the back here. He was slowly away last time, but made up ground to be prominent 2f out. I’m hoping he gets away better today, riding in behind the leaders.
Why The Trainer And Jockey?
Ben Curtis has a really good record here with a 27.78% strike rate in the last year across 18 rides, and a 18.48% rate across 92 rides.
The trainer also likes it here with a 19.32% strike rate in the last 5 years.
Ben Curtis arrives on board for the first time after not riding on debut. That should improve the horse.
Why The Horse?
This horse scored one of the best speed ratings in the field on debut. He was slowly away yet still ran a decent race before weakening at the end. The stiff finish at Hamilton may had been to much of a challenge, especially recovering from that slow getaway. The flat 5f will suit a lot better here.
He is 6lb down today, and is up two classes. With the lesser weight I think this horse can handle the class. His breeding suggests this class should be fine too.
Excited to see what this horse can produce here.
