Baraboy – 12.30 Hexham – 2m Handicap Hurdle – 40/1 Bet365 – 1 Point Each Way.

The 11 year old Baraboy has been a regular winner for his connections with 9 victories from 71 starts, including 15 places.
Two of these wins were on the flat but he has spent the majority of his racing over 2 mile hurdles, winning 7 times from marks between 87 and 100.
He suffered a significant injury which kept him off the track for 3.5 years and only resumed this season with two runs.
It’s been understandable he has been ring rusty and needing the runs but has improved with both runs and it would seem his ability remains.
His last outing was going right handed and that would have been against him as all his victories have been going left handed.
It’s therefore a good thing he runs at left handed Hexham, indeed he won over course and distance off a mark of 100. This was his best ever performance so Baraboy should have good memories of the track.
Baraboy is having his third run back today and with his fitness and wellbeing progressing I feel he should now be ready to run a competitive race under conditions that suit him.
He runs off a career low mark of 74 and gets in here off a lightweight 10st and is in the handicap proper The good jockey Danny McMenamin is a good booking and off a mark 26lb lower than his win here Baraboy certainly has a decent chance.
