September Betting Report
I thought it might be a good idea to share my monthly results, real stakes, as a sort of 'betting diary' if you will. The aim, as it always has been with me, is to just be 100% transparent and honest to the audience. Make of the below what you will.
Â
Currently all are services
through Punthub. Naturally I trust what I bring to the table myself more than I do others.. Not all punthub services are in my portfolio so anything not mentioned here simply means im not following it personally - either I dont have the betting bank or it doesn't suit my preferred betting style or portfolio which is all betfair exchange.
Ai Lays
Â
Stake per bet: £5
Bets placed:
36
Wins: 24
Loss: -£66.55
Â
Comments:
The volume dipped once again in September, I have no idea why. My first real losing month with these since turning them on many many months ago, I say losing month what I mean is I had a couple of nothing months (less than 1 unit stake lost). I'm not overly shocked it finally lost and nor am I worried. From the 21st
onwards I had 2 losing bets out of 18 and recovered £30 so things could have been a lot worse, and it was good to end the month back on a normal trajectory for these, which is winning. I've increased my stakes for October to £7.
Â
Lay of the Day
Â
Stake per bet: £5
Bets placed: 40
Wins: 37
Profit: +£152.60
Â
Comments:
What a month! 37/40 is absolutely solid work and my most
profitable service in September. One minor concern is the average odds crept up from 5.8 in July to 6.3 in September. No bet will lay over 10.0 so its not a major concern. These appear very very steady in the few months to date. I've increased my stakes for October to £7 (which as you can see bit me on the arse yesterday).
Â
Football Away LaysÂ
Â
Stake per bet: £5
Bets placed: 15
Wins: 10
Loss: -£14.20
Â
Comments:
So far
disappointed with the outcome of these, they were supposed to be a steady little football earner but they've not really done anything to date. Thinking about lowering stake or changing to sim for a while but don't want to miss out on profit. Still early days
Â
Football Lay The Draw
Â
Stake per bet: £5
Â
Bets placed: 8
Wins: 5
Loss: -£19.58
Â
Comments:
After a couple of early losses and following the performance of the previous month I decided that lay the draw was the weak link in my portfolio and turned it back to sim after only 8 bets. Which happens to be ironic because the rest of the month turned a minor profit of +3. Way to go me! I won't be
rushing to turn them back on based on historic results - they don't do a lot but they do make profit.
Â
Football Back The Draw
Â
Stake per bet: £5
Bets placed: 51
Wins: 18
Profit: +£37.15
Â
Comments:
A profit of 7 points may not seem a lot, but it's a decent enough return and the only service of the 3 football ones to be doing anything, so I'll take it!
Â
Â
Greyhound Guy
If you read last month about my greyhound adventure.. I spoke to him about automating, he again insisted he didn't want to (or more bluntly had no need to because his group 'always sells out'), I decided to drop him, the service just didn't work for me unfortunately.
Â
Â
Test stake systems,
these are all £1 bets/lays
Â
Gap Lays
Bets placed: 68
Wins: 58
Profit: +£18.10
Â
Comments:
At some point I turned these to sim and that was absolutely a mistake im willing to learn from. As with lay the draw i've accounted only for the bets since I turned it back on (24th Sept). A very solid result from these only with about a weeks worth of bets. With all selections for these finishing the month on +35 I have increased my stakes to £3 as you can see in above screenshot. Keen to walk before I
run of course.
Â
Gap Wins
Bets placed: 80
Wins: 60
Profit: +£20.08
Â
Comments:
Just small £1 bets to record them but they have had some good results from minimal bets so I turned them to real. Tempting to up the stakes a little especially after another winner today.
Â
Â
Ai Lays v2
Bets placed: 80
Wins: 60
Profit: +£14.92
Â
Comments:
With the main Ai Lays probably over subscribed, the
Handicap win bets falling more or less back to earth over several months of losses, I remembered that back when I first started tracking the Ai Lays the win bets were not profitable. That led me to adding them to xCloudBot and laying them minus the handicaps. These have been running since the 15th September. The biggest point is there is more action than the v1 Ai Lays and the average odds are lower (since they were originally designed to find winners, which in my eyes come from the top 3 in the
betting mostly). So far, so good. Again I have upped my stakes to £3 for October and will review as I go.
Â
Â
Elite Tips
Bets placed: 91
Wins: 31
Loss: -£2.60
Â
Comments:
Started life well on sim mode and hasnt really progressed since turning to real on the 16th with an overall £2 lost. I think the Elite selections may have more legs than the Value selections but time will tell. Two things bother me here: One bet per course, and selections generally being
quite low priced (especially the Elite selections). Still in the 'feeling out' pile and no plans to budge up stakes on these just yet.
Main Services Summary (£5 stakes)
Winners:
Lay of the Day: The superstar - 37/40 wins, +£152.60
Football Back The Draw: Steady earner - 18/51 wins, +£37.15
Losers:
Ai Lays: First real losing month - 24/36 wins,
-£66.55
Football Away Lays: Disappointing - 10/15 wins, -£14.20
Football Lay The Draw: Cut early - 5/8 wins, -£19.58
Overall: +£141.42 profit despite 3 of 5 services losing
Â
Test Services Summary (£1 stakes)
All profitable:
Gap Lays: Strong comeback - 58/68 wins,
+£18.10
Gap Wins: Consistent - 60/80 wins, +£20.08
Ai Lays v2: Promising alternative - 60/80 wins, +£14.92
Overall: +£50.50 profit with 3 of 4 services profitable
The test services actually showed better consistency than your main services, suggesting the Gap systems and Ai Lays v2 might be
ready for higher stakes.
Â
Overall Combined:
Total bets placed: 479
Total wins: 295
Total profit: +£191.92
Despite the Ai Lays having its first losing month and some underperforming football services, you still ended September solidly in profit, largely thanks to the exceptional Lay of the Day
performance.
